SEO myths that are still believed today

As we know, there are many Search Engine Optimation (SEO) tutorials circulating on the internet. many are true and not a few are just a myth. here are four SEO myths that are often encountered on the internet.

SEO Myth 1: Meta keywords are very influential

In 2009 the head of Google webspam, Matt Cutts, stated that they do not use meta keywords as a web rank in the search engine algorithm. However, Google still uses the meta description as a reference for their engine's algorithm. for more details, friends can see the official video from google webmaster on youtube.

SEO Myth 2: nofollow backlink is useless

This is one of the many myths circulating on the internet, no follow backlinks actually help you in exposing your website's brand for traffic improvement, besides that Nofollow links can also be an indicator material for natural linking opportunities. The dangerous thing is if all your website backlinks only have do-follow backlinks without having Nofollow backlinks, then you will be given a red flag by Google because it doesn't pass in Google diversification. According to Matt Cutts, ideally, the comparison of DoFollow and NoFollow backlinks is 60: 40.

SEO Myth 3: Pagerank determines SERP

Even now, many SEO experts have started to leave PageRank indicators and switch to other indicators such as domain authority, citation flow, trust flow, and so on.

SEO Myth 4: All backlinks must have keyword anchor text

Anchor text is text in a hyperlinked phrase, such as " click here ". In the past, optimizing anchor text with keywords can indeed help improve search rankings. Over the past year, Google's algorithm updates have started to reduce the power of keyword optimization from this anchor text. Therefore, you should make a diversity backlink, for example, 20% naked URL, 20% anchor text with the author's name, 50% anchor text keyword, and 10% random anchor text like " click this article " because it looks more natural in the eyes of search engines...
